Some Breeds of Dogs Are Restricted by Hawaiian Airlines

Carrier Requirements for Pets on Hawaiian Airlines

  1. If you’re only going to be in Hawaii, you don’t need a health permit for your pet. If you are going from Hawaii to North America, your pet’s health certificate must be up-to-date (it must have been given in the last 14 days).
  2. You can use the ticket if you’re going back to Hawaii and it was given to you no more than 14 days after you got there. If your dog is more than this old, it will need a new license.
  3. You can fly back to the US mainland with the same health certificate as long as it is less than 30 days old. If it’s from a long time ago, you’ll need a new one.
